Overview

Harvest House Global Ministries is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and mission-aligned Information Technology (IT) Manager to oversee, build, and secure our technological infrastructure. As our ministry expands its global reach and community impact, a robust, reliable, and secure IT environment is essential.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

The IT Manager will be responsible for end-to-end technology management, with a specific initial and ongoing focus on building our foundational network, configuring compliance accounts, establishing robust cloud and physical infrastructure, and implementing comprehensive security group management.

1. Network Architecture & Infrastructure Building

  • Network Deployment: Design, build, and deploy secure local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), wireless networks, and VPN connections across ministry facilities.

  • Hardware & Cloud Infrastructure: Procure, configure, and maintain servers, networking gear (routers, switches, firewalls), endpoints, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AWS/Azure).

  • System Scalability: Ensure the technology infrastructure scales effectively to support administrative staff, ministry departments, live-streaming operations, and community outreach centers.

2. Compliance Account Configuration & Governance

  • Regulatory & Organizational Compliance: Ensure all IT systems, user accounts, and data handling procedures adhere to relevant data protection regulations and ministry governance standards.

  • Account Provisioning & Lifecycle Management: Configure and manage administrative and user accounts with strict adherence to the principle of least privilege.

  • Identity & Access Management (IAM): Establish automated onboarding, offloading, and role-based access control (RBAC) protocols across all software and cloud platforms.

3. Security Group Management & Cybersecurity

  • Security Group Architecture: Design, implement, and audit security groups, access control lists (ACLs), and firewall rules across cloud and on-premise environments.

  • Threat Mitigation & Monitoring: Monitor network traffic and system logs for unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, or suspicious activity; respond swiftly to security incidents.

  • Data Protection & Backups: Establish routine data backup procedures, disaster recovery protocols, and encryption standards for sensitive donor, member, and operational data.

4. General IT Operations & Ministry Support

  • Helpdesk & Technical Support: Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues, providing prompt troubleshooting for staff, volunteers, and ministry leaders.

  • Vendor & Asset Management: Manage relationships with third-party hardware, software, and telecommunication vendors; maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT assets.

  • Technology Training: Provide guidance and documentation to ministry staff and volunteers on cybersecurity best practices, software utilization, and hardware handling.


Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (equivalent professional experience will be considered). Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on IT administration experience.

Technical Expertise:

  • Proven experience building and managing enterprise networks (routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs).

  • Deep understanding of Cloud Identity providers (Azure AD/Entra ID, Google Workspace Admin).

  • Demonstrated proficiency in compliance account configuration, RBAC, and security group management.

  • Experience with endpoint management tools, MDM (Mobile Device Management), and data backup/disaster recovery solutions.

Certifications: Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar are strongly preferred.
